ESMOD Jakarta has been participating in JFFF (Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival) for the last several years. This year, ESMOD Jakarta come up with the concept of “Emerging Designers”. On August 9th 2019, ESMOD Jakarta participated in JFFF 2019 by presenting last collections from Class of 2019 with new and innovative ideas from young and talented designers.
Patrice Desilles, Academic Program Manager ESMOD Jakarta, said, “Every year, we produce young and talented designers. So, tonight we are introducing the last collection of our dazzling designers from class of 2019.”
ESMOD Jakarta collaborated with So Klin, held a talk show and workshop on August 16th about how to use sustainable materials to recreate clothes. The talk show was hosted by Indy Barends and Patrice Desilles as ESMOD Jakarta representative was going to be one of the keynote speakers. Patrice said, “ESMOD Jakarta also have responsibility to the ecosystem by using Tencel fabrics made from wood as materials for the collection, because Tencel fabrics can be recycled.”
After the talk show, all eyes focused on ESMOD Jakarta, So Klin and Sedari Sadari’s mini workshop about how to remake an old clothes to look more bright and fresh using some patches. The workshop participants seemed enthusiastic and happy to mix and match patches to the clothes.
ESMOD Jakarta and So Klin also collaborated in fashion show on August 17th, that was held in Ballroom Harris Hotel & Conventions, Kelapa Gading. ESMOD Jakarta presented 30 looks from Class of 2019 and 10 looks from ESMOD Jakarta alumnae, Bertha Puspita (Youngwoon) and Adeline (Aline The Label). The collections is shown with bright color to represent young and dynamic style.
Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF) is held in Mall Kelapa Gading (MKG) from August 7th to September 8th, 2019 presented by Summarecon and Department of Tourism and Culture of North Jakarta also have fascinating archipelago culinary called “Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe” and running event called “JF3 Run”.
